Some fresh Linux distribution installed UTF environment by default.
But CLIP/clipper virtual machine not suppoted multibyte characters.
CLIP support UTF terminals. But not all terminal emulator support full
UTF features. Our recomendations:
- use urxvt under X11 with UTF
- before installing CLIP add to environment:
export CLIP_LANG=en_EN.CP437 #or other onebyte charset
export CLIPROOT=/path/for/binary/
export PATH=$CLIPROOT/bin:$PATH
